Research and Consulting Services
The three senior members of the Re-vision team have worked together since 1998 in AAAJ Consulting Group. As AAAJ we established an outstanding reputation for qualitative research. Our clients tell us that four features distinguish our consulting work:
- our talent for conducting interviews and focus groups that yield detailed and accurate information but in such a way that the interviewees and participants feel they also have gained something from the process
- our astute analysis of data leading to innovative but practical evidence-based advice
- our exceptionally well written reports
- the friendly and productive working relationship we develop with clients.
We carry these skills into the areas of research and consulting especially relevant to Re-vision's remit of reshaping retirement and the transitions to retirement for this new era of long and healthy and active older years.
Two specific services have been developed.
Managing Mature Age Workers
There are no silver bullets in handling the issues around older workers. Policies that work superbly with one group of employees may play out completely differently with another, even in the same organisation. Revision works in organisations to design fair and effective policies for managing older workers in ways that advantage both them and the organisation - especially, developing different ways of working and new work arrangements.
Community Consultation
Understanding the aspirations and needs of local residents aged in their 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and even beyond has become a central concern of local and regional governments. The Revision team has initiated work with a number of local councils to explore the best mechanisms for acquiring such understanding. We are particularly interested in the possibility of training residents and letting them talk to their neighbours as a mechanism for collecting the required information at the same time as building social capital. The whole task of creating communities that work well for active older people and foster inter-generational bonds is a truly exciting one.
