Can't retirement just be a time to relax... to please ourselves?
So often people say: "I want my retirement to be a time when I relax and just please myself". In this little piece we try to say that they don't really mean it. Well, they do and they don't.
They do mean to regain their autonomy and find a more harmonious pace for living after full time work.
They don't mean to just lie about and be taken care of by the rest of society. At least we hope they don't because that would be a dangerous kind of retirement - for the individual and for the rest of us.
Or are we being too prissy by half?
