An increasing number of organisations sponsor pre-retirement workshops for their employees. In our experience these are well received and sincerely appreciated.
Re-vision can tailor its retiring 'to' not 'from' workshop to suit the specific requirements of the organisation and its staff. What we have found works particularly well is to focus on the two non-finance resource 'portfolios' that are so critical to a satisfying and meaningful retirement. The two are: a diversified portfolio of relationships and connections and a diversified portfolio of interests and ways of spending one's time.
All our workshops are active affairs and participants are given real opportunities to try various 'tools' for productive planning and to test their own ideas. They are meant to be enjoyable sessions and thus far in our experience, turn out that way.
